Windfall Wants

So on pay day this month I'm going to be getting a little more than usual.

Let's be honest, I'm either going to put it directly into the bank (I'm ADDICTED to saving, and have been since I was wee) or going to put it towards the laser eye surgery I've been talking about for at least a year (sorry friends!).

However, it got me thinking. If I had got a much larger windfall, say, a few thousand dollars, what would I spend it on (frivously, of course)? Here are a few pieces I haven't been able to get out of my head. What would you buy if you were forced to spend a pretty penny?

What To Wear: New Year's Eve 2011

Looking for a cute way to ring in the new year? Why not try a black lace dress, with some adorable nude heels. The strap is both a cute update, and a way to make sure they stay on your feet all night!

What To Wear: Christmas Party Edition 2011

First Christmas party of the year, and FOUR tomorrow. Don't worry, I won't try and makeit to all four, that's a recipe for disaster and tears! I'll keep it smart and try and keep my party list to two or three. As every year, I'll be sending out a few great outfit options for all of your holiday parties!

Rudston Waterproof Pull-On Boot

This is very strange. Timberland has a boot that I... like? When I think of Timberland I think of clunky chunky hiking books. Something like this. Really not my style. At all. These however I like a lot. And they waterproof. They have just enough of a heel to stay fashionable, but hopefully are still comfortable. Time to get to a mall to try these on! (That's saying a lot since I don't really like malls!)

Olivia Leather Flat

These might be the perfect shoes for fall! To work or to play. I completely wore out my last pair of black pointy toe flats. These would make a lovely replacement!

J Crew Shoe of the Month Club

So it's about two months until my birthday. And I'm just SAYING that if someone loved me a lot. A LOT. And if anyone knew me really well... and if anyone had more money than they knew what to do with they would probably get me a membership to J Crew's Shoe of the Month Club. Are you hearing me? A NEW PAIR OF SHOES IN THE MAIL EVERY MONTH?? Yes PLEASE! (So much shouting, sorry. Too excited.) Ok, so I'm not really expecting this, because it's $1800 for a year. Which is a crap load of money. But mommy, when you win the lottery, you know what to do!

The Canadian dollar is above par. So technically it would cost LESS than $1800. More like $1725.
Anyone? Anyone? Buller?

Suit + Sneakers Again

What is this? Another groom wearing converse sneakers to their wedding? It seems I have hit upon a trend! I know it isn't right for everyone, and to be honest, I don't know if I would go this path myself, but I DO love it when I see people making their wedding (and their wedding fashion choices) their own! How fun and bright is this wedding?

Jil Sander Flats

I have a pair of Jil Sander sneakers and they are fantastic. Fit well, and are super comfy, while still having a cleaner look which Jil Sander is known for. Perhaps it is time to welcome another Sander to my shoe rack? (Ok, maybe not unless they go on sale to 75% off!)
Currently on sale for $213 (50% off)

Kate Spade Fierce Flats

I bought these pretty little flats while I was in Chicago recently. Except mine are gold and not rose leather, and my beaded bows sparkle WAY more than the ones in this picture. Just saying. Significant sparkle. I love them! Also, the shoes are called Fierce. Isn't that enough?

I hope you all enjoy your weekend. Mine will include picking out paint colours (stressful!), brunch, and cleaning out my closet! Whoo hoo!

(On sale, of course.)

Geox Sibilla Sandal

I've been wanting a pair of wedges.  Even though my tastes definitely run more towards a more ladylike thin heel rather than chunkier shoes, something about this feels sort of "right" this season. Am considering this pair at the moment. If their wedges are as comfy as their flats, it might be worth the investment! Thoughts?
Geox: Sibilla Sandal in Black

*Edit* - I tried these on in the Geox store near Union Square in NYC last weekend, and they fit like a dream. They were $163 with tax though, and I wasn't feeling able to spend that much cash so I didn't get them. I'm regretting it now as I went to see if they had them in Toronto, and the woman at the Eaton's Centre informed me that they don't sell this style in Canada! Egads! Time for another trip back to the US??
