Aerie Set (Not Just For Teens?)

Dropped by the mall after work today to meet a bestie and do a little shopping. While I was waiting to hear about the score of the women's gold medal game via text message we decided to pop into Aerie, American Eagle's line of unmentionables and loungewear. Surprisingly cute stuff. We were both out of energy, and didn't try anything on, but we might be back.
I can't help it. I've always been a sucker for a little lace.
(Not that I need any more... not that I won't buy any more.)

New Shoes!

What is more exciting than mail? Well, a box as big as you are full of SHOES! (See the pair that started the whole shopping spree above.)
Thank you eBay!

NY Fashion Week: Burberry Prosum

Oh Christopher Bailey.
Yes, yes and yes.
Oh to be a man.
(Or to have a man to dress. When will my kid brother make enough money that I can buy him clothing like this? Perhaps once he is done high school?)

Postcard Mug

I'm sending a cute boy home today. Or rather, he's headed back to the place of his birth (also, incidentally, the place where a million other people are because it's the OLYMPICS) on his own volition.
Maybe he'll send me a postcard though! I love getting mail.

Home Tour: In Living Colour

While I definitely have an affinity for white, clean spaces, truthfully, that's not exactly how I live my life. I love this space which is full of colour and life. And who wouldn't like an art studio in their home?!

It's OUR Game

I'm one of those people who not only cry at movies, but also books, crappy TV shows, and even New York Times articles. I'm in touch with my emotions... or at least, they are in touch with me!

These two commercial touch some sort of national spirit in me.

And this video featuring Michael J. Fox
And now the game has started, so I have to go!

Rain Jacket

I used to have a rain jacket. I was little and it was little. It was clear and covered with jelly beans. I loved that rain jacket. For at least the past year I have been searching for a clear rain jacket with no luck. Stumbled upon this one that Susie Bubble found. I want it. Well. I want one with like it. Ideally with jelly beans. What better way to stay cheery (and dry) on a rainy day? (In addition to my rainbow polka dot umbrella of course).

Recycled Leather Bags

Didn't you learn the three R's in school? Reduce, reuse and recycle. I think most people readily admit that every little step you can make helps. And if you can look good in the process... all the better.

H&M Garden Collection

Oh my, what pretty little things.
Bring on the spring, bring on the spring.

Sorry for the late post. I've been trying to do this thing daily, but a girl has things to do and people to see on the weekend. Like picking up lost cell phones, impromptu tea parties and sushi dinners. When is the next long weekend? Not until April you say? No. No that will not do.

Tina

Great interview of Tina Fey in Vogue.
Woman is funny.
Once recently when I was getting ready for a date my male roomie told me I looked like an Asian Tina Fey.
I'm pretty sure it was supposed to be a compliment.

Let The Games Begin

In response to this
"The Canadian Olympic motto is "Go for the bronze", a spirit exemplified by our greatest Olympic heroine, Silken Laumann. Silken was favored to take gold in the single scull in the '92 Olympics, but just 10 weeks before the games suffered an open tibia leg fracture and nerve damage in an accident that her doctors pronounced career ending. Three weeks later, unable to walk, she was lifted from her wheelchair into her scull. The bronze she eventually went on to win in '92 is Canada's brightest medal."

Gold is great. Pride and inspiration is better.

Hopeless Romantic

Something exciting to get me (and you) through the last minutes of Tuesday. I love the satin and the vintage feel.

Yellow Coat

I love this coat.
I am surprised that I am posting a picture of Lauren Conrad, but there you go! Never say never.

Portraits

A great way to spend an hour is flipping through photographers online portfolios. My favourite this past week?

Good Morning

There is something so sweet about waking up with someone special. The first few groggy moments of the morning when neither of you are fully awake, but you reach out for the other, and pull them in tight. As you tangle up your limbs and hit snooze just one more time.

Lingerie Moment

There is no excuse not to own pretty underthings. While they can sometimes be very expensive (La Perla anyone?), there are many less pricey options out there. And hey, for me, anything I can do to increase the chances of feeling good when I take off my clothes. Priceless. Which probably explains my drawers chock full of sexy unmentionables.

Spring Dresses For A Non-Exsistant Wedding

Perfect dresses to attend a spring wedding... now won't someone invite me to a spring wedding?
Most days I am very glad that almost none of my friends are getting married. (No pressure on me, you see.) Until I want an excuse to buy a pretty dress that is.

Panda Bag

Normall I'm not interested in overly cutesy fashions. I'm too self aware and self conscious. I just can't pull it off. However this lady here totally manages to be cute without annoying. Adorable. And check out this bag.
I love it. It may be worth a trip to Washington D.C just to go to the zoo, get a bag (and visit my three very cute little cousins who live there).

Home Tour: Richard's Toronto Loft

I get an extra little kick out of anything Canadian or Toronto based. I am proud of that which I love.
