C'est L'Halloween (and Sugar Skulls)

Happy Halloween!
(The above video goes out to anyone who learned French in elementary school in Ontario. I'm sure you know all the words to this song just like I do!)

Also found these sugar skulls via the glamourai, and they are super cool. What a fantastic way to add a bit of creepy to a Halloween tea party. Because every holiday should have a themed tea party!

Sunday Home Tour: Vancouver Beauty

Isn't this Vancouver home beautiful? Such great windowns, and so much light! I also love how the owner Shalina Lawrence has used while thoughout the house. Doesn't it compliment the floors beautifully? I also love the pretty feminine light fixtures used everywhere, in contrast with the more modern furniture!

Ceramic Skull Planter

Very ghoulish skull planters. A stylish if macabre way to celebrate and decorate for Halloween.

Black Widow Wine Glasses

Happy Almost Halloween!
This week has been whirlwind busy with midterms and work projects and events coming up and I haven't had any time to work on my Halloween costume! I'll have to pull something together last minute. (Something fantastic! Crappy costumes are not an option.)Until then birthday party tonight, working all day tomorrow, Halloween festivities Saturday night, and Sunday a vegan dim sum birthday brunch. And then I sleep, right?

Street Style: Milan Fashion Week

Fantastic street images captured by Anthea Simms. As I can attest (I left Milan days before Fashion Week... bad timing!) the weather was gorgeous, as were the women. Milan, you far outdo yourself. They say French women always look good, but they have nothing on the Milanese.

West Elm Modern Stripe Tumbler

I've been having a love affair with grey recently. I painted my new bedroom a soft shade of grey, and I have been lusting over these gray sheets (my obsession with stripes is nothing new). So when I saw this tumbler at West Elm, I had to show you. It's much prettier than the toothbrush holder I have now, and it would add an elegance to my bathroom. (Also maybe for makeup brushes on my vanity?)

Also, West Elm is advertising them online for $8.38. Now that's a good price!

Rudston Waterproof Pull-On Boot

This is very strange. Timberland has a boot that I... like? When I think of Timberland I think of clunky chunky hiking books. Something like this. Really not my style. At all. These however I like a lot. And they waterproof. They have just enough of a heel to stay fashionable, but hopefully are still comfortable. Time to get to a mall to try these on! (That's saying a lot since I don't really like malls!)

Currently lusting over this Michael Kors tops. It combines stripes and sparkle. What could be better?

Sunday Home Tour: Muskoka Glory

I found this fantastic home/cottage awhile back on Design To Inspire. I love how rustic it is, while still feeling pleasantly put together. It's casual, but intentional. I've been going to Muskoka for years to cottage. (Cottage=Lake House) As a child my family didn't camp. In fact, I've never been camping. (Which is a shame.) We would go to cottages instead. It does tend to be the Toronto thing to do. So now as fall has hit full force, and I find myself already yearning for cottages. Sigh. Muskoka. You are only a winter away.

Wedding Style: Library Wedding

An adorable wedding. It may be small, but my oh MY is has a lot of style! Every detail has been taken care of. As a book lover, and as a person with many book loving friends, I had to share this! (Plus I think the bride is half asian. Represent!)

Sunday Home Tour: San Fran Fav

A little bit of eye candy for you on a Sunday morning! Found at Massucco Warner Miller's interior design and decoration firm's website, this San  Fransisco home is perfection! I love all the white, the bright pops of colour and the home accents. There is great texture everywhere too. Fab.
