Good Day, Sunshine

Happy Friday! I have been looking forward to this Friday for a month. You see the fella works too much, and hasn't had a weekend to himself in quite some time. This weekend calls for sleeping in, shopping with a bestie, parties with new people, and parties with old friends, dinner dates, people in town from Australia, perhaps a brunch and TRIP PLANNING. Oh. And I'm going to do his taxes. Can't be all play, now can it? Still, good, no?

Key To My Happiness

Let me start off this post saying that I ordered this necklace from Beyond The Rack, however I had a negative experience with them, and would not at this time be able to give them a positive review, nor would I recommend ordering from them. HOWEVER, as this is supposed to be a space for things that make me smile, I will not get into the details, and instead will focus on the positive. As I mentioned here I was lusting over a key necklace, inspired by a moment of clarity while riding my vespa one day. (Alright, inspired by a really big advertisement I passed while riding my vespa one day... but I still had a moment of clarity!) Well, while in the office on a Saturday I came across this cute little sterling silver and diamond key necklace on SALE online. So I bought it. And now I have the key to my own happiness.

I just bought this poster. I can't wait until it arrives.

One thing I love about Toronto is the various neighbourhoods. How you can walk a block or two and be in a completely different area of the world. I love how loyal people are to their neighbourhoods (the annex forever). How the visiting of another neighbourhood can be a whole adventure in itself - trip to the Beaches anyone? Now that I am dating a boy who is new to the city I find myself even more excited about it, as I want to show him everything wonderful that the city has to offer. And in my not so humble opinion, it can offer a whole lot if you're willing to explore.

I was slow to post today,  because today was a very busy day! Also, because I just booked my flight to London, England this morning, so any free time (and there was not much of it), was spend looking up things London related! Where should I eat? Where should I shop? Where should I go? So many questions.

Weekend Review

Spent last night eating oysters, drinking wine, and then watching a hockey game, while wearing one of my favourite pair of heels (pictured below). This is the good life no? Currently on my way to a brunch. I have baked a loaf of banana bread with coconut and walnuts, which I'm very excited to share. Later dodgeball. If I could only convince myself to go to the grocery store so that I could purchase what is needed to make my dinner tonight (pasta with goat cheese, olives and sun dried tomatos) I would feel it was a quite complete weekend. I'll probably end up eating out. Again. Oh dear.

Did a little shopping jaunt with my Pretty Pony this weekend. She got the above skirt as modeled by Jessica. I also bought this dress in cream. It was $19.95. Amazing. I'm also surprised how much of my tan from Miami/Portugal last summer has stuck around... or maybe that's just my skin colour. In any case, who needs to tan? Not I!
