Fantastic street images captured by Anthea Simms. As I can attest (I left Milan days before Fashion Week... bad timing!) the weather was gorgeous, as were the women. Milan, you far outdo yourself. They say French women always look good, but they have nothing on the Milanese.

Lady Prep Inspiration
One of my lovely co-workers is leaving tomorrow, having found greener pastures (i.e. a permanent job as opposed to a contract). In his honour of his personal style the entire office is going to dress as preppy as possible. Now I'm probably 25% preppy already, but how to go all the way? I looked to Unabashedly Prep for inspiration. It seems according to them modern prep for ladies is all about the shorts with a tucked in button up. I will try my best!

Street Style: Polka Dots NYC Style
This fine looking lady took something that could have been very frilly and turned it sexy by pairing it with skinnies and keeping it sheer. Not quite office appropriate (at least not mine), but close!

Daily Dose
Have you checked out Ruche? They have a cute new feature called Daily Dose which shows you how you can mix and match their clothing into outfits! I wanted to buy the poppy dress and the poetic jacket listed above, but they are out of my size. Still, it's a great way to show you how to be creative with different pieces. Nicely done Ruche!

Street Style: Style Scrapbook
Today's style inspiration comes from Andy form Style Scrapbook. Love her look here. It somehow inexplicably is both professional and casual. Youthful and mature. Great contrasts!

Street Style: Expecting Rain
Fantastic trench. Trenches are a good part about living in places that have real fall and spring seasons. Right? Right? I mean, summer all the time? Who wants that? Right? Right?

Jetsetting in Style
Less than a week until I start jetsetting all over North America (and beyond?) While it's been 6 weeks since I've been on a plane (it actually feels like it's been longer!), I soon will start a 8 flights in 7 weeks jaunt crisscrossing across North America. I do seem to spend most of my time between coasts. Toronto>LA>West Palm Beach>Toronto>Calgary>Vancouver>Toronto and the wildcard, a yet to be decided vacation. Paris? New York? Chicago? Costa Rica? Only time will tell! The downside of so much travel? All the times on planes! I'm not one to schlep onto planes in sweat pants and hoodies, but neither do I look quite as refined as these ladies above. Let this be my inspiration! If I'm behaving like a jetsetter, I had better look like one!
(P.S. I'm not really cool. I just like to sound like I am by throwing the word "Jetsetter" around. Forgive me?)

What To Wear: Coachella - Shorts
Shorts are a great options for concerts. Crowd surf, jump around, do handstands all without fear of exposure. Not that everyone fears exposure. (Although I do!) Here are some great options which would do you well. Not going to Coachella? Well, these would still make great additions to any summer wardrobe!

Street Style: Coachella
Three weeks until Coachella!
Times is a ticking down. Plane tickets are books. Car rental is boked. I haven't figure out what I'm packing, or how I'm going to bring a inflatable mattress with me on the plane, but I still have time. Still wondering what to wear to Coachella 2011? Have a look at what people were wearing back in 2009. More inspiration coming in the following weeks.

Street Style: Red Laces, Yellow Cardigan
Love this gentleman's spiffy date outfit. The red laces are a smal touch, but really catch my eye. I like a man that takes pride in his shoes. In fact, my boy was wearing shoes with red laces the day I met him.

Street Style: Saucy Seventies
Love the 70's jeans, the camel coat, and the small structured purse. What a great way to show off all the trends without seeming... trendy. Very clean and put together.

Street Style: Cozy Vest, Cold Ankles
I'm not the kind of person who could wear a fur vest. It doesn't fit who I am. But on this gal, I like it very much.

What To Wear: Little Black Dress
Tonight starts the first of many holiday parties. Since there are so many Christmas/Holiday/Seasonal parties coming up (not to mention New Years Eve) I thought ti was time to start thinking about what to wear to all the fetes. If you've been reading for a year you know that in my arsenal are an army of little black dresses. I love little black dresses. If you don't already have the perfect one (or ones), now's the time to get them! Paired with the right shoes, they are always in style, and never boring.

ASOS BLACK Laser Cut Petal Maxi Skirt
Isn't this skirt interesting. I've been seeing more textured skirts out there, but honestly, I feel like most of them are just too puffy! I love how this lays flat. It would be great with a little black tee shirt. And would definetly catch some eyes on the holiday party circuit.
