Marc by Marc Jacobs Fall 2010 rtw 2

Now that the temperature is starting to drop I'm grudging looking forward to fall. I DO love fall, with apple cider, and sweaters, changing leaves and the smell of fire places, it's just that I ALSO love summer, sundresses, and not wearing a jacket. That being said, living in Canada, four seasons are inevitable, so I try and make the best of it. I like looking back at the Fall collections to see what we will be seeing on the street. I love the look Marc Jacobs put out for his gentlemen. Spiffy. Very spiffy.

Suit + Sneakers Again

What is this? Another groom wearing converse sneakers to their wedding? It seems I have hit upon a trend! I know it isn't right for everyone, and to be honest, I don't know if I would go this path myself, but I DO love it when I see people making their wedding (and their wedding fashion choices) their own! How fun and bright is this wedding?

Street Style: Red Laces, Yellow Cardigan

Love this gentleman's spiffy date outfit. The red laces are a smal touch, but really catch my eye. I like a man that takes pride in his shoes. In fact, my boy was wearing shoes with red laces the day I met him.

Wedding Sneakers in Hawaii

Just another sweet use of the converse sneakers and suit for a wedding! You're going to think I'm obsessed! My best boy bud is going to have so many inspirations to choose from!  His wedding venue isn't a beach, but I could definetly see him taking the more casual route seen here. (P.S. best boy bud and fiancee set the day, and I'm already excited for July!)

Don't get inbetween a man and his phone

Suit + Sneakers Revisited

Far and beyond the post that is looked at the most often is my Suit+Sneakers post where I mused over dressing my boy bestie in a sweet suit and a pair of converse sneakers for his wedding. Along the same vein here is an engagement shot, looking good, while wearing sneakers.(Side note, I own those blue shoes his lady is wearing... and I wore them to the Power Ball Thursday night.)

NY Fashion Week: Burberry Prosum

Oh Christopher Bailey.
Yes, yes and yes.
Oh to be a man.
(Or to have a man to dress. When will my kid brother make enough money that I can buy him clothing like this? Perhaps once he is done high school?)

Suit + Sneakers=So Right

My best boy friend is getting married! My first bestie to do so!
Now I love a beautiful pair of leather shoes on a man. And I mean love. But there are so few men who really understand shoes... plus boybestie is a vegan, and to be honest, that's just not his style. If he would let me dress him... I'd put him in a sweet (but casual) suit with a brand spanking new pair of converse sneakers.
Still so hot. This look always catches my eye.

Love Brigade

I'm not normally into tees with sayings on them. For this however, I would make an exception. How hot is this stuff? Without question if I were a male I would own some of it. Gifts perhaps?

Daniel My Brother You Are... Taller Than Me

My little brother is a wicked musician. That kid can play anything. (Except the clarinet... he dropped that the first day.) He is also growing up so fast. And by that I mean he now weighs at least 50 pounds more than me and is at least 7 inches taller than me. Sigh. I remember when he was just a little pipsqueak.

Point being. The kid needs a new cool wardrobe. 17 is an important age as Zac Efron has shown us. I saw this shirt and I think he needs it. If I were a musician I would wear this shirt.
Christmas IS coming!

Wednesday Inspiration

Who doesn't follow The Sartorialist? This morning as I'm back at work and trying to catch up on both my actual work as well as my favourite blogs when I was stopped in my tracks by these two images. In many ways both are very simple. Neutral colours. But so well done. I also have the greatest respect for a man who knows when not to wear socks.
