I'm currently looking for a few office pieces. Even though I've been working almost 3 years (as a full time employee... I've been working since I was 16!) I feel my office weardrobe is somewhat lacking. Love this shirt. It's easy and romantic, and also would work well into the fall.

What To Wear?: Christmas Party Edition

It is certainly NOT too early to start getting excited about Christmas.

Yesterday I recieved my first holiday party invite, which is especially exciting because I consider this particular party to be one highlight of the Christmas season. It's a multi-generational party with babies to grandparents, and friends of all those in between. There is nothing to lovely as a big beautiful house full to the brim with good cheer. (Plus it's an open bar).

The only question is... what to wear? I could wear something casual, but I never give up a chance to dress up pretty. Here is one option I have come up with:

More Material Lust

There really aren't enough (any?) oppertunities in my life to wear floor legnth dresses. I've got the height and frame to pull them off, but somehow I don't think that wearing them to work, the gym, or my neighbourhood sushi joint would be appropriate. So until I become a lady who goes to ball and galas, these will have to remain firmly in my dreams.

Who doesn't follow The Sartorialist? This morning as I'm back at work and trying to catch up on both my actual work as well as my favourite blogs when I was stopped in my tracks by these two images. In many ways both are very simple. Neutral colours. But so well done. I also have the greatest respect for a man who knows when not to wear socks.
